Have you ever been frustrated over down right mad about gas prices? How about interest rates on your credit cards?  Have you ever been late on a credit card payment and all of the sudden your interest rate goes up?  How about other credit cars you have raising their interest rate because your credit scores dropped a bit?  When you need a break the most they stick it to you.  Does this make you angry?  Do you think you pay too much for prescriptions when you’re sick or on medication for a prolonged period?  Do you feel like your medical and dental insurance is ridiculously high?  How about homeowners insurance?  Does this make you angry?  Are you tired of working so hard and other people keep getting more and more of your money?  ARE YOU ANGRY YET?  I know I am.  Let’s look at some points of interest

• Why have fuel cost risen so high this past year at an alarming rate then drops a little bit in very small increments.  Does it cost more to produce all of the sudden?  I don’t think so.  When OIL COMPANIES repeatedly have record profits quarter after quarter that tells me that greed has become a driving force.

• We need fuel to work, play, go shopping, etc. in everyday life and we have become dependent on fuel.  The oil companies know this and they burden us with higher prices so they can get higher profits.  It has gotten to a point where some people have to decide to fill their tank or buy food and that is where a lot of Americans are at right now.  Are you one of those people?  Or maybe you just have to cut back on entertainment or clothing or some other luxury you once had.  TO BUY GAS AT AN OVER INFLATED PRICE.

• Did you know the oil companies receive government funds called subsidies?  They receive over $ 53 BILLION a year which they don’t really need.  So when you pay taxes you are paying the oil companies out of your taxes AND overpaying at the pump.  ARE YOU ANGRY YET?

• The oil companies have a strong lobby inWashingtonand are able to get bills passed to help them to become bigger and more profitable.  There are laws to prevent price fixing and monopolization but do you really believe that has not happened?  They can explain off questions like these in overcomplicated explanations and come up with all sorts of reasons why the prices are so high but the fact is simply that THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT. So they do.

• What can we do about it?  As individuals nothing really.  Just keep filling your tanks week after week and be angry about it.  You might call your congress man but chances are he has had oil company contributions to his campaign and he sort of owes them.  He won’t do too much for you.  The fact is most politicians couldn’t care less about you individually.  They care about their own agendas and most likely lied to you to get into office. There are millions upon millions of dollars spent on politicians and donated to their campaigns by lobbyists and special interest groups regularly.  When someone spends that kind of money and donates heavily to your personal campaign do you think you owe them?  Of course you owe them and you are in position to get them what they want. Not all politicians are that way but most are and if think they are not THINK AGAIN.  This payoff system is wrong and it is a sickness within our political system which needs to be fixed and stopped.  It’s like a monetary cancer that reproduces big money for the wealthy at the taxpayer’s expense.  AT YOUR EXPENSE.

• I am going somewhere with all of these questions and observations and I hope you think it is a good idea. I repeat as individual there is not much we can do.  But just think if thousands or even millions of people united in a cause decided to do something about it and changed it.  Would you be interested in being one of those people united to change gas prices?  How about cost of medical insurance?  What else would you like to change? 

• The power of individuals united could be so powerful, changes could be made and without government help in fact in spite of the government which has done very little to change things as I am sure you are aware.  ARE YOU BETTER OFF THAN YOU WERE 5 YEARS AGO?

• ARE YOU TIRED OF SUPPORTING CORPORATE GREED AND WOULD LIKE TO GET OIL COMPANIES, BANKS AND INSURANCE COMPANIES TO NAME JUST THE WORST, OFF YOUR BACK?  ARE YOU TIRED OF CARRYING THE BURDEN AND FEELING LIKE YOU JUST HAVE TO ACCEPT IT?  WELL JOIN THE CLUB BECAUSE SO AM I.

• HELP ME TO HELP YOU AND WE CAN UNITE TO MAKE SOME CHANGES WHICH ARE BADLY NEEDED IN THIS COUNTRY AND IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD.

• MY PROPOSAL TO YOU IS TO HIRE OUR OWN LOBBYIST TO GO TO WASHINGTON TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE OIL COMPANIES, DRUG COMPANIES, BIG BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES.  GO TO WASHINGTON DC TO FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHTS AND TO STAND UP TO THOSE WHO JUST TAKE AND TAKE FROM YOU AND SEPRATE YOU FROM YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.  THIS WILL BE A MEMBERSHIP SITE AND AS MEMBERS YOU WILL BE HELPING YOURSELF BY HAVING YOUR OWN LOBBYIST TO FIGHT FOR YOU.  THE LOBBYISTS FOR BIG CORPORATIONS HAVE ACCESS TO MILLIONS IF NOT BILLIONS OF DOLLARS. THE MORE MEMBERS WE HAVE THE STRONGER WE BECOME AND THE MORE POWER WE WILL HAVE TO MAKE CHANGES LIKE LOWERING COST OF FUEL, LOWER PRESCRIPT PRICES, MORE AFFORDABLE MEDICAL INSURANCE, BETTER CREDIT CARD RATES, AND WHATEVER ELSE THE MEMBERS WILL WANT TO CHANGE.  I AM COMMITED TO MAKING THINGS HAPPEN NOW. 

• YOU DO HAVE A VOICE AND UNITED WITH OTHER VOICES YOUR VOICE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

• THE INVESTMENT IN THIS MEMBERSHIP IS MINIMAL.  I DON’T WANT IT TO BE A BURDEN BECAUSE WE ARE ALREADY BURDENED WITH ENOUGH.   SO THE INVESTMENT IS ONLY $2.50 A MONTH.  LESS THAN A CUP OF COFFEE AT STARBUCKS, LESS THAN A GALLON OF GAS A MONTH.  LESS THAN A BEER OR A GLASS OF WINE A MONTH.  OF COURSE WE WILL NEED HELP GAINING MORE MEMBERS SO WE CAN BECOME STRONGER AND REALLY PUSH FOR CHANGES.  The numbers are what it’s all about.  We have numbers and THEY WILL LISTEN.  THREATEN TO TAKE AWAY THEIR MONEY AND THEY WILL BRING PRICES DOWN.

• MY PLAN IS TO GO AFTER OIL COMPANIES 1^ST.  They are the biggest monkey on everyone’s back who owns a car.  Why are we paying $3.30-$4.00 a gallon when the big 15 chiefs are making millions. THE TOP 15 OIL COMPANY CEOS MADE ABOUT $512.9 MILLION LAST YEAR.  THAT’S AN AVERAGE OF $34 MILLION A YEAR EACH. REALLY?  IS THAT OK WITH YOU KNOWING HOW MUCH IT’S COSTING YOU JUST TO GET A TANK OF GAS?

• PLEASE JOIN ME AND LETS MAKE SOME SERIOUS CHANGES.  LET’S TAKE AWAY THE GREEDY CEO’S FREE RIDE AND PUT THE MONEY BACK IN OUR POCKETS.  WE MUST STOP THE GOVERNMENT FROM HANDING OVER SUBSIDIES TO THOSE WHO DON’T NEED IT.

• CALL YOUR CONGRESSMEN OF WOMEN AND TELL THEM THE SUBSIDIES MUST STOP.  THEY MUST LISTEN.  CALL THEM MULTIPLE TIMES UNTIL THEY DO LISTEN.
